Temperature Textiles

Timely released during the COP26 summit and Dutch Design Week, design studio Raw Color draws attention to the climate crisis through a beautiful range of colored knitted textiles. It features eye-catching blankets, scarves, and socks decorated with graphical data from climate change topics: temperature change, rising sea levels, and emissions. Each product combines color shades and differences in texture to illustrate measured and projected climate data, informing you of vital information after it grabbed your attention.

Extraordinary electric vehicles on Alibaba

u can buy anything on China’s online shopping giant Alibaba, and it seems like you can even find interesting electric vehicles on there. Electrek – one of the biggest websites covering everything related to EVs – writes a story on one of them each week. Some are wacky, and some are brilliant. From a duck boat or submarine to a solar-powered tuk-tuk or one-wheel motorcycle. The editor behind the stories even ordered an electric pickup truck for a comprehensive review. 😂

Copy-paste any object with augmented reality

The ClipDrop app uses AR to copy and paste real-life objects easily onto your computer. Point your phone at any object for the app to do its magic. After the capture, the app generates a transparent image that you can share from your phone or drag and drop to the web app on your computer. As you can see above, we tried it around the studio, and we were pretty amazed by the speed and quality. 😱

Edible picnic cutlery

With sustainability in mind, Barcelona-based Voilà created a zero waste alternative for bringing cutlery along on your next picnic by making spoons, forks, and knives that you can eat after finishing your meal. Their edible cutlery is vegan and allergen-free, making them suitable for anyone with room for ‘dessert’.
